I am Seyedsaber Mirabdali, who graduated with a Pharm.D. from Kermanshah University of Medical Sciences (KUMS). I am the director and founder of Dr. Mirabdali's round-the-clock pharmacy and a member of the Medical System Organization and the Iranian Pharmacists Association. During these years, I was also selected as the best pharmacist of 2016 & 2018 in Kermanshah province, the best employee of a State Hospital in our province in 2014, the top researcher in the medical school of KUMS in 2012, the 2nd top student of PharmD in 2011 at KUMS, the 3rd brilliant talent of KUMS in 2010 and the winner of 1st and 2nd prize of the best student articles of the 13th, 14th and 16th National Seminar of Pharmaceutical Students of Iran. My time as a Doctor of Pharmacy student at KUMS University was a turning point in my career since I was immersed in a cutting-edge curriculum that equally valued academic underpinnings and practical applications. Courses like 'pharmacology,' 'Clinical Pharmacy,' 'Clinical Biochemistry,' 'Pharmacognosy,' and 'Medicinal Chemistry,' among others, provided me with a solid foundation in pharmaceutical concepts, which was amplified by the laboratory sessions, resulting in a GPA of 3.67. I have always been fascinated by the importance and application of biochemical and pathological in-vitro tests in investigating the effect of anti-neoplastic drugs since it is a vast topic with huge research potential. Therefore, I have always been eager to learn new methods to fulfill my research needs, and this has resulted in me mastering a variety of methods like : Cell culture Working with animal models Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (direct, indirect, sandwich) Blotting methods (western, southern, northern) Electrophoresis Preparation of solutions, Pipetting, pH adjustment, Buffers Centrifugation Using commercial kits Cell culture Real-time PCR LDH assay MTT assay Malondialdehyde assay Zymography Immunohistochemistry methods Flow cytometry Haematoxylin/Eosin staining Gel electrophoresis (agarose, native, SDS, reducing SDS) Chromatography (HPLC, column, size exclusion, ion exchange, affinity) Finally, the result of all these led me to investigate the anticancer effects of new synthetic drugs and plant extracts on different cell lines and measure biochemical parameters expressing metastasis and angiogenesis such as gelatinases, VEGF, and chemokine receptors like CXCR4. My Research's in-vitro testing and analytical methodologies improved my conceptual comprehension of the topic, and it led me to present my Ph.D. thesis under the title 'Effects of temozolomide on U87MG glioblastoma cell expression of CXCR4, MMP2, MMP9, VEGF, anti-proliferatory cytotoxic and apoptotic properties' with a score of 4. From my graduation until today, in addition to managing the pharmacy, in continuation of my previous research, I contributed non-profitably in collaborating with KUMS researchers, which resulted in the publication of articles whose details are mentioned in the publications section. Now I aim to obtain high skills in my major with the aid of a Ph.D., which will not only keep me up to date on advances in my field but also assist me in undertaking cutting-edge research for exploring creative mediums to increase the therapeutic effect of new anticancer drugs. Besides all this, I love bodybuilding and cycling. I work well in teams and have excellent communication skills. If you look for research collaboration or wish to keep in touch, do not hesitate to email me and/or follow me on social media. Best regards
